FindMyPast offers new membership packages Starter, Plus and Pro

FindMyPast has today announced details of its new membership package, which include the option to access the 1939 Register by a monthly subscription.

FindMyPast has today announced details of its new membership package, which include the option to access the 1939 Register by a monthly subscription.

FindMyPast state that the changes have been made as a result of customer feedback, and provide different levels of access to the records on their website.

  • The Starter package will provide the essential UK BMD and UK census returns and is aimed at family history beginners 
  • The Plus package will provide access to the 'best of' FindMyPast's British and Irish collections. All British and Irish records falling under the categories currently on Findmypast will be included, with the exception of newspapers
  • The Pro package will provide access to all records in all territories including newspapers, including access to FindMyPast's Australian and US collections
The monthly/annual prices will be:
 
Starter                    £8.95/£72
Plus                        £12.95/£120
Pro                         £15.95/£156
 
Access to the 1939 Register
 
In addition to these changes, FindMyPast have made the 1939 Register available as part of the monthly sub for subscribers to the Plus and Pro packages. This is the first time that the 1939 Register will have become available to monthly subscribers.
 
FindMyPast have stated that they will not be automatically moving existing subscribers onto any of these packages. As subs expire, people will have the opportunity to take up one of the new package options or keep their current access if they prefer.
