The National Archives is seeking your views on a new strategic vision for the archives sector

The National Archives (TNA) is seeking your views on a new strategic vision for the archives sector, and as it's Archives Awareness Week it's a great time to get your voice heard.

Over the summer, TNA engaged with users, the archives sector, partners and key stakeholders to develop a new strategic vision for archives. It identified key themes and priorities that need to be addressed in order to deliver the vision.

A period of consultation has now started - based on your views TNA wants to co-create an action plan that supports the vision.

The consultation runs until 11 January 2017.

Emerging priorities for action

*        Do they set out the key issues that need to be addressed?

*        Is anything missing?

TNA will shortly launch an online survey to seek further detailed comments. If you would like to be added to the mailing list to be told when the survey opens, email [email protected].

TNA will also convene expert panels and conduct a number of interviews with key strategic partners, in order to develop an action plan to support the delivery of the vision.
