Free UK Genealogy invites visitors to come along to celebrations to mark the twentieth anniversary of FreeREG and FreeCEN, on 28 September 2019 in York. Free UK Genealogy is a genealogy website that provides free, online access to family history records. The organisation works with a team of dedicated volunteers to create high-quality transcriptions of public records from governmental sources, parish churches, and other trusted institutions.
Event details
The event will be held at King's Manor and tickets can be purchased here (£5 including tea/coffee and cake). The event will include speakers and actitivies on Free UK Genealogy project, as well as the opportunity to meet some of the volunteer transcribers who make the work of Free UK Genealogy possible.
The event will also be broadcast and made available on the FreeUK Genealogy YouTube channel afterwards.
Runs 10am to 4pm.
