As the 1921 Census for England and Wales is released, we take a look at the top five occupations for men and women in that year.
On 6 January 2022, FindMyPast and the UK National Archives announced the release of the 1921 Census for England and Wales.
Capturing the details of over 38 million people and 8.5 million households, as well as public and private institutions, it truly is a snapshot of England and Wales at the start of the 1920s.

But as well as telling us about the names and ages of each person on the census, the 1921 Census gathered more information than ever before, including asking people about their place of work and employer.
