What can I find in these records?

These records are from series WO 373 at the National Archives in England and are recommendations for military honours and awards between 1935 and 1990 to British Army personnel and Dominions' armies personnel.

This collection also contains details of some awards to members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force.

The recommendations were made for various reasons including, gallantry in the face of the enemy, ‘meritorious service’ and distinguished service. Men and women mention in Queen's hnours lists are also recorded here. Expect to find:
