RootsTech 2024 registration is now open

RootsTech, the world's largest genealogy conference, starts on 29 February 2024 and registration is now open.

RootsTech will take place from 29 February to 2 March at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and online at RootsTech.org. The theme of the 2024 event is ‘Remember’.

The price for the in-person experience is $99 for a three-day pass or $69 for one-day entry. Although the online event is free, the organisers encourage registration to maximize the experience.

RootsTech 2024 offers something for everyone, from beginners to advanced researchers, with:

  • over 300 class sessions
  • keynote speakers
  • interactive workshops
  • hundreds of exhibitors who will showcase their latest innovative products and features

"After the success of RootsTech 2023, we're looking forward to another incredible experience in 2024 offering the thrill of discovery, meeting cousins, making new connections with others, amazing entertainment, and learning about exciting new products.

RootsTech 2024 keynote speakers

The identities of the keynote speakers at each RootsTech conference are traditionally revealed one by one on the run-up to launch day.

At the time of writing (9 January) two keynotes had been announced:

  • Lynne M.Jackson: author and president of the Dred Scott Heritage Foundation, Lynne is the great-great-granddaughter of Dred and Harriet Scott, an enslaved couple known for taking their case for freedom to the U.S. Supreme Court
  • Henry Cho: Henry has spent decades as a comedian drawing upon the memories of his life and upbringing to spread joy and laughter to his audience
  • Nancy Borowick: world-renowned Sony Artisan photographer, speaker, and teacher, with a 'unique gift and talent for capturing the moments to not be forgotten'
