Join experts in the field discussing topics relating to Commonwealth Air Forces during 2023.

Since the 100th Anniversary of the RAF a few years ago there has been a growing interest in Air Force Research.  For that reason, Allied Air Force Research decided to create a free virtual webinar series that brings experts to the forefront, highlights stories of airmen over the decades and gives researchers a glimpse into Air Force history, making tracing your own Air Force ancestors easier

The new series will feature presentations from experts including Dr Dan Ellin of the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln, who will show us how to navigate their online archive; and ex Squadron Leader Chris Goss, now an aviation historian and author.

Clare Wilson the owner of Allied Air Force Research website said: ‘Since setting up the website and facebook group I have been overwhelmed by the number of messages received from other researchers who were curious about their own relative’s service.

'There is often a lot of focus on the part the Army played in conflicts and I often feel that the Air Forces can be somewhat neglected, so it will be exciting to bring insights not previously unearthed. I have made some amazing contacts in this field and I’m excited that many of them have agreed to take part in this event, there truly is something for everyone!”

The series will run virtually via Zoom at 7pm on the last Wednesday of each month throughout 2023, the first one starting on 25 January.

The program of speakers and talks will be published on the Allied Air Force Research website in early January.
