As part of the RAF’s Centenary Programme, the RAF Museum has launched RAF Stories, a free digital resource accessible to everyone to submit, share and explore their family’s history and personal connections to the RAF.

As part of the RAF’s Centenary Programme, the RAF Museum has launched RAF Stories, a free digital resource accessible to everyone to submit, share and explore their family’s history and personal connections to the RAF.

RAF Stories highlights the rich and personal links that the public have with it; and showcases how throughout history, the RAF family has reached far beyond its servicemen and women.

An app has been developed which makes it simple for anyone to upload their own story, or story of a loved one to the website. People have already been sharing their compelling family histories, including actress and singer-songwriter Minnie Driver,  who spoke to historian Joshua Levine about her father's role with Bomber Command during the Second World War.

The stories explore what it means to be part of the RAF family, with servicemen and servicewomen who have supported each other professionally and personally over the past 100 years, and continue to do so.
