A new biogeographical DNA test described as the 'most detailed DNA testing experience in the world', providing a breakdown of 21 regions across Britain and Ireland, has been released today (12 November 2018).

FindMyPast has partnered with the providers of 'the world's most advanced DNA test', Living DNA. Together, the two British companies have created a new DNA experience which promises to provide 'the most advanced biogeographical ancestry testing experience on the market'.

What does the new DNA test offer?

The collaboration introduces a new testing experience that uses cutting-edge science to provide a unique breakdown of 80 global regions, including 21 across Britain and Ireland. This exclusive method, to Living DNA, delivers a level of detail that is 'currently unmatched by any other DNA test available on the market'.

This first of its kind service allows users to map their biogeographical heritage and make new discoveries about their family history, with access to Findmypast’s collection of over 9 billion historical records and newspaper articles, alongside the genetic expertise of Living DNA.

Users can also access interactive maps showing the global movements of those who share your DNA, from 80,000 years ago all the way up to modern day.

The new biogeographical DNA tests are available to purchase online from 12 November, priced at £79.
