Video report: MyHeritage has today (12 June) released details of its new photo enhancer feature that brings blurry faces in any photo into sharp focus.

The feature uses deep learning technology that was licensed by MyHeritage and seamlessly integrated into the platform to enhance photos by upscaling them (increasing their resolution).

This video shows how the process works:

How does this help with family history?

Maybe you have old photos in your family history collection that look grainy or blurred, or photos of large family gatherings with many faces that are too small to recognise clearly.

The MyHeritage Photo Enhancer aims to solve these problems easily and allow you to see your ancestors more clearly than ever before.

To get started, upload your photos and enhance them here.
