1. The humorous side of genealogy, 9 June
Nottinghamshire Archives present an online talk by professional genealogist Chris Broom, taking us on a light-hearted virtual walk through a variety of genealogical records, using examples to show the value of viewing original documents. Starts 7pm, tickets 3pm. Book here.
2. BALH virtual local history day and AGM, 12 June
The British Association for Local History AGM and local history day goes online in 2021, with details to be announced nearer the date. The event runs from 1.30pm to 4.30pm and the programme will be announced at the BALH website.
3. The Family History Show, 19 June
Enjoy free talks, ask the experts sessions and stalls from societies and archives in this one-day online event, running from 10am to 4.30 pm. Get your ticket at the show website.
4. The ones that got away: tracing migrant ancestors, 24 June
This Zoom talk by Janet Few is available exclusively to members of Kent Family History Society. The talk explores the many research paths to follow and sources to consult, in your quest for that migrant ancestor.
