Do you have a family heirloom you'd love to know more about? Bring it along to Family Tree Live on Friday 17 April and get advice from TV antique experts Catherine Southon and Stephanie Connell…
It's time to get up in your attic and bring down those treasured family heirlooms as we launch the first 'Heirloom Experts' session at Family Tree Live!
It could be an old painting, a piece of jewellery, an item from wartime… we're so excited to see what treasures will be brought along. And we're giving you the chance to find out much more about the item, putting it into historical context and adding more information to your family story.
Meet the experts from Antique's Road Trip
Catherine Southon and Stephanie Connell, regulars on popular BBC shows such as Antique's Road Trip and Bargain Hunt, will be examining and valuing your heirlooms and antiques on Friday 17 April at the Family Tree Live event, being held at London's historic Alexandra Palace.
Stephanie told us: 'Heirloom Experts will offer a chance to learn more about the pieces you have in your collection. Have you ever wanted to know more about an object in your collection? By bringing your pieces along (or photographs of them) we can offer you an insight into their past, and financial value .'
Catherine said: 'Antiques help us keep history alive and part of of our legacy lives on in the things we leave behind. If you have an heirloom you would like to know more about bring it along to us, if you have too many items or the item is too large then bring photographs along. The more information you have about the item the better.'
