Family Tree Live 2020 lectures & workshops

We are seeking talks and workshops on subjects that will help people on the first steps of their genealogy journey, through to more advanced record sets and search skills and strategies. We are interested in topics that are educational, but entertaining and inspirational approaches are very welcome too! This is your chance to come and share your knowledge and passion for family history with others at Family Tree Live.

The lecture & workshop programme

The lecture and workshop programmes will cover a full range of family history topics, aimed at people with different levels of genealogy experience – beginner to advanced.

  • The Family Tree Live lecture and workshop programme organisers invite summaries for the delivery of 45 minute talks or workshops.
  • Time will be allowed for questions and handover at the end of each talk or workshop.
  • There will be scope for the timetabling of double length workshops too.

Submitting your lecture or workshop proposal

Submissions should be sent to [email protected] on or before Monday 16th September. Please can you present your submission by completing the form, which is available for download below:

Family Tree Live is being held at Alexandra Palace on 17 & 18 April 2020 in the Great Hall, and will offer family history enthusiasts of all levels the opportunity to attend talks and workshops presented by an inspiring and knowledgeable range of experts in their subject.
