New from the Family History Federation - a brand new one-day online family history event coming soon on 14th November. Read on to find out more.

A Really Useful Family History Show? Now that sounds like something very well worth attending indeed...

Run by the Family History Federation and its Parish Chest virtual shopping website, the Family History Federation Really Useful Family History Show will take place on Saturday 14th November from 10 am (GMT).

Bringing together the resources of family history society expertise, online genealogy shopping and a programme of online talks, this one-day family history event will be packed with learning opportunities including over twenty expert presentations.

About the programme of talks

Presentation streams will include talks within the general themes of Getting Started, Using FamilySearch, Building Your Family History, Exploring Your Ancestors Lives and much more.

Many of the talks will have live questions at end – and the talks will be available for a limited time following the show to those who register - so you need not miss any.

There's nothing like the buzz you can get from speaking with someone who shares an interest in the names and places that feature on your family tree - and this is where family history societies come into their own! If you're keen to learn more about family history, and explore the many ways in which family history societies can help you learn more about your family's history and the places they once lived and worked, and wish to improve your family history know-how, head along to the Family History Federation's Really Useful Family History Show.

The show website is live and now open for bookings – all UK residents who book before end of October will receive a real “goody bag” by post!
