Debbie Kennett will be speaking on ‘Ethnicity percentages demystified’ at Family Tree Live

Introducing Debbie Kennett’s talk:

Ethnicity percentages demystified

The DNA testing companies will try to assign your ancestry to specific regions and countries from around the world. However, these findings and percentages can raise many more questions, such as:

• Why do you get different results from different companies?

• Why have you been assigned ancestry from Norway or Italy when you have no ancestors from these countries?

In her talk, Debbie will explain what the population percentages actually mean, and give you an understanding of the science behind the calculations to help you make sense of your DNA test.

This talk is for you if you are keen to get more from your DNA test results and gain a clearer understanding of what your ethnicity percentages actually mean.

Suitable for family historians of varying levels of experience, both those thinking of taking a test, and those who have already tested.

Debbie Kennett will be speaking at 3pm on Saturday 27 April 2019.
