Worcestershire Record Office is preparing to move premises to The Hive, based in the centre of Worcester. On 14 November 2011 its
Worcestershire Record Office is preparing to move premises to The Hive, based in the centre of Worcester. On 14 November 2011 its County Hall branch will close. The record office will re-open as a joint archives and archaeology service at its new home in July 2012. The History Centre branch will remain open until April 2012.

From 11 February to 28 May 2012 a limited enquiry service will be provided while the collections are moved. More information on the service offered throughout this period can be found on the website http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/cms/records/the-new-wlhc/the-hive.aspx.

Gwent Archives has now reopened at its new site at Ebbw Vale and looks forward to welcoming visitors to its new premises.

The new opening hours are Monday-Friday 9.30am-5pm. As part of the new service, opening hours have been extended and, for a trial period, will include one Saturday opening a month. The archives will open on the following Saturdays from 10am to 4pm:

• 14 January 2012
• 11 February 2012
• 10 March 2012
• 14 April 2012
