Descendants of signatories of the Declaration of Arbroath, which asserted Scottish sovereignty in 1320, are being sought ahead of its 700th anniversary in 2020.

Genealogists at the University of Strathclyde are researching the lineage of those who are named in or placed their seals on the historic document as part of the Declaration of Arbroath Family History Project, and identified male-line descendants are being invited to take DNA tests to confirm their heritage.
