As an experienced, qualified and accredited genealogist and historian Cathy Soughton has the knowledge base to know where to look for relevant records and the experience to carry out various different research requirements, including online and archival family history research and house, property and land history.

Cathy is a Member of the Association of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives (AGRA) and its current Secretary.

House History Show presentations

On Saturday 15 May at 3 pm Cathy Soughton will present ‘Don’t judge a house by its plaque’ in which she will explains how to dig deeper to get the most from historical records.

On Thursday 3 June, 6.30 pm Cathy Soughton will be co-presenting ‘A Virtual View: Online Sources’ with buildings historian and heritage research consultant Karen Averby, a presentation in the summer lecture series.

Cathy will also be participating in the chats and plenary Q&A through the Saturday.
