'Bounce-backers': ancestors who moved away, then returned home, 27 August

25 January 2024
John Titford shows us techniques for tracing ancestors who left their home region only to return later.

Bounce backers: how to trace ancestors who returned home, 27 August, 6.30pm (UK time)

Many of our ancestors and their families left home in search of a better life elsewhere, but a good number later returned to the place they had left originally, as if they had never been away. Here we make use of examples from the 16th century onwards, mainly featuring individuals who moved around within the British Isles.
