AGRA is the professional organisation promoting high professional standards in the field of genealogy and historical research in England and Wales. It is prominent as a representative voice in matters relating to genealogy and all of its members and associates agree to abide by a stringent Code of Practice. The AGRA Expert Advice area at Family Tree Live will be on a first-come-first-served basis and will be available throughout the two-day event.

Tap into local family history knowledge

Local family history is at the heart of Family Tree Live, with the Federation of Family History Socities (FFHS) being the show partner. The range of family history societies attending Family Tree Live means there is a wealth of local knowledge for visitors to tap into. Local family history societies are some of the best-kept secrets of the family history world holding information and expertise that will give your family history research a real boost, tapping into records and knowledge that might not be available elsewhere.

And it's not just London. Societies are coming from all corners of the UK, so whether you have ancestors from Yorkshire or Somerset, there will be experts on hand to help!

DNA information and inspiration

The Family Tree Live DNA Hub will bring together some of the world's top DNA experts, all ready to give you expert advice on how DNA testing can help with your family history. DNA experts from companies including MyHeritage and FamilyTreeDNA will be on hand to answer your questions and provide an insight into why you should take a test, and how you can use the test results. 

Meanwhile, the Family Tree DNA Hub lecture theatre will be showcasing subjects from the world of DNA and the many ways in which it ties into family history investigations.

Lectures and workshops

Family Tree Live will feature a fantastic lecture programme featuring topics to inspire and entertain you, whatever your level of family history know-how.

Visitors will also be able to take part in hands-on workshops, hosted by experienced family historians.

Of course, there will also be a wide range of exhibitors at Family Tree Live, all keen to hlpe visitors with their family history research, whether you're just starting or have been working on your family tree for many years.
