Imagine if your ancestors were actually involved in historical events! The English Civil War touched many people. Maybe you suspect or know that someone in your family tree was a Roundhead or a Cavalier. Maybe you think that they might have been a quiet supporter or have helped by hiding fugitives or providing food or men. Even ordinary people were affected, as the intrigue and the fighting swirled past them. In this half-day course, Michael Gandy and Else Churchill look at: - The historical background leading up to the English Civil War; - The impact it had on our ancestors; - Where to look for military records.
