A national charity which promotes local history and serves local historians, the British Association for Local History encourages enthusiasm for local history amongst learners of all ages.

A national charity which promotes local history and serves local historians, the British Association for Local History encourages enthusiasm for local history amongst learners of all ages.

The group has a lively events programme which includes visits, conferences, meetings and activities, some of which are organised in conjunction with other organisations. Members keep in touch via a quarterly magazine and also receive a regular e-newsletter.

How to join

Membership is £30 individual/ £25 student/ £65 local society. Members have privileged access to conferences and other events, as well as access to a large network of knowledgeable local historians.
