Hi Wychmick.

Sorry to hear that, we do receive many 'Spam' comments ourselves.

If you are getting emails everytime someone leaves a comment then you can turn either this, or the ability to comment on your posts, off in your admin area in the 'Options' - 'Discussion' area.

There is more detail on how to do this in the Forum, at http://www.family-tree.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1354

If you want us to remove your blog and account completely, either leave a comment to that effect or contact us direct via e-mail.

Hope this is some help.

Thanks for the prompt reply - at least I know it's not me! Anyway, I'm still finding my way around, so I expect I'll be able to find something that suits.

Hi Arthur,

Thanks for your question.

The themes do all have their own way of doing things, and yes, it looks like the Thoughts theme doesn't show the users post name on the individual posts.

Your best solution is indeed to either try another theme or as you say, put up with it.

It is possible for us to edit the code of specific themes but we don't really have the time to edit each theme to specific requests, this is why we uploaded several themes for people to choose from.

Sorry we couldn't be more help with this one.

I've just set up a blog ("Bartle Kennedy Rutter Stow") and have changed the theme to Thoughts. It's not showing the names of authors of posts, whereas I see that other themes do. Am I missing something, or can you alter something at the hosting site, or do I have to put up with it (or change to another theme)? Thanks - Arthur

Could you include a date of last update on the members' blogs so that we don't keep going into those that haven't been updated?

Hi Perk,
It may well be, Why not give it a try?

You can add users or members to your blog via the admin area once you have set it up...

Andy,
The Search facility on the blog page only searches the blog you are viewing, there may well be some smiths listed on some members blogs, but you'll have to browse them individually, hope this helps.
