Eric Whatmore - The Story of a Grimesthorpe Lad
My father, Eric Whatmore, was born on 23 February 1914 at 11 Margate Street, Grimesthorpe – a district in the eastern part of the city of Sheffield. The family home was a simple terraced house with about four or five rooms and an outside toilet.
