marriage hall

Postby pampaxy » Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:57 am

Can we get a registrar come to the marriage hall instead of getting married in the register office? My friend is getting married to a guy who is of another religion. Their parents have given their blessings but both of them do not want to get married in either of the religious method. So they decided to get married in a register office. But if there is a possibility for the registrar to come to the marriage hall and complete the formalities they would be pleased. Is this possible?

Unfortunately I don't think this will be possible - unless the marriage hall has been licenced as a place for the registration of marriages (eg some hotels have been). I would recommend asking the marriage hall whether they have been licenced.
Good luck with your wedding preparations.
Helen :)
